Connex Credit Union was originally chartered in 1940 to serve SNET employees working in the greater New Haven area, as well as their family members. About 10 years ago, the Credit Union expanded its affiliation to include employees at over 450 companies and organizations. We now serve over 31,000 members throughout Connecticut, the United States and the World. Until recently, only employees at these organizations and their family members were eligible to join the Credit Union. In December, 2002, we received approval to convert from a federal to a community-based state charter. This means that anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in New Haven, Hartford or Middlesex County is now eligible to join the Credit Union.
